We work to a standard, not a price. While we understand that price is an important factor, we believe in providing value that surpasses what any other company can offer. We are neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but for the quality and value we deliver, we believe our company is unmatched.
We have always maintained a “tell it like it is” approach, and we bring that same honesty to our carpet cleaning services in Canada. If you seek an honest opinion, hard work, and clean carpets or upholstery at a reasonable cost, look no further.
Our Journey
Originally from Britain, we (my wife and I) arrived in Canada in June 2000. In the UK, we were involved in various service industries, from helping people move within the UK and abroad to owning a small funeral service in the village of Sixpenny Handley in Dorset. The funeral business was small but emotionally rewarding work.
After moving to Red Deer, we owned a retail business for a while, but it wasn’t the right fit for us. We lost everything we came to Canada with and considered returning to the UK, but a close friend encouraged us to stay and rebuild our lives. That’s exactly what we did.
Starting Our Carpet Cleaning Business
The person who maintained our floors in our retail store asked about our future plans. Without a clear direction, we accepted his offer to join him in the carpet cleaning business. After learning the ropes and gaining experience, we found the job incredibly rewarding. We loved traveling, meeting new people every day, and making a small difference in their lives.
Building Our Business
Eventually, we parted ways with our boss and close friend Rick (who recently passed away; thank you for all your help and encouragement, Rick – we miss our chats). We started Action Cleaning Solutions in Sylvan Lake and expanded to cover Red Deer. Soon, we were asked to take over Sea Breeze carpet and upholstery cleaning in Sylvan Lake, a business with an excellent reputation. We jumped at the chance.
The same opportunity arose with White Knight in Lacombe and Red Deer, and we couldn’t believe our luck. Both businesses, along with our own, were built on the philosophy of providing exceptional professional carpet and upholstery cleaning services at reasonable prices.
Our Simple Desire
Reflecting on our time in the funeral business, we remember often charging less than our competitors while delivering service worth twice as much. We have carried this principle into the carpet cleaning business, striving to offer exceptional value and quality to our clients.
